WELCOME TO THE STOVER FAMILY COMMUNITY ON HOOSIER ROOTS
This line currently starts with Daniel STOVER and his wife Eva ALBRECHT who settled in Shenandoah County, Virgina in the 1700's. It traces its way thorugh Ohio and on into Tippecanoe County, Indiana to my great-grandmother Virginia Ann "Jenny" STOVER, wife of Joseph Ensley McCORD. Along the way it touches on the family lines of METHENY, MICHAELS, BRUMBASH, and LIONBERGER.
Additional information I have, but have not yet studied or verified indicates the family is of Mennonite faith, originating in Switzerland, and later moving to Germany before immigrating to America.
I hope this information helps you in your family history research and look forward to
hearing from my distant cousins; email me at
stover@hoosierroots.com.
To see my research on my other lines go to the
HoosierRoots home page.
